As part of the federal project Biodiversity Preservation and Ecotourism Development of the Ecology national project, LLP Saryarka-Energy has been providing support to the Russian Ministry of Nature and Ecology’s Business and Biodiversity initiative since 2019. The Plan of Priority Measures for the Preservation and Restoration of the Siberian Crane (White Crane) Population in Russia served as the foundation for the agreement between the Ministry and the company; FSBI Oksky Natural State Reserve and FSBI VNII Ecology were designated as the contractors.

The water supply system, boiler house, and feed kitchen of the Nursery of Rare Crane Species of the Oksky State Reserve were restored thanks to the company’s financial assistance. A diesel generator was bought to guarantee the continuous functioning of machinery and incubators, an aviary for housing cranes was renovated and insulated, and an automobile was needed for production requirements. An initial trip to Yakutia was undertaken by experts from the All-Russian Research Institute Ecology with the goal of gathering Siberian Crane eggs from the wild and restoring genetic variety to the avian group of white cranes at the Oksky Reserve Nursery.

The Biodiversity Conservation Program has been implemented by the firm at the Kharyaga field and its surrounding areas since 2018.
